Ms. Syndy NKRUMAH
Syndy is an accomplished finance and operations executive, demonstrated through sound and solid technical and strategic leadership over the past 26 years in the development and humanitarian sector. Syndy is currently the Chief of General services of the International Criminal Court in the Hague, prior to that she was the Deputy Director of United Nations Relief Works Agency affairs (Operations) in the West Bank. She previously served in several roles in CARE International, a Non-Governmental Organization, her most recent as Finance Director and Operations Manager. Syndy has served in multiple roles in development and humanitarian settings, managing, coordinating, and providing technical support to various teams, in several countries in West Africa, East Africa, Far East Asia, the Middle East and Europe. She has a wide range of experience in overseeing and managing various operational functions, including finance, human resources, procurement, logistics, administration, and information technology Ms. Nkrumah holds Executive Master in Business Administration (Finance Option) and a Bachelor’s degree in Education for Social Sciences (Accounting).
Syndy developed a strong sense of giving back to the Society to ensure everyone has a chance to succeed professionally as she personally navigated the complex structures in the workplace to progress in her career. She is a strong advocate for vulnerable groups, especially women and girls to remove barriers and social norms that hinders equity and justice for women to succeed. Syndy is a mother of three children, a lover of God and a home maker.
